In 1992, he set up the Family Law Department of his practice and by 1999 was practising exclusively in this area of law. Within a year of moving to Nottingham, he became a partner in what is now one of the leading criminal law practices in the country. Simon qualified as a Solicitor in 1988 having initially trained and practised in London.
